    Shannon O'keefe

Based in Montana, Shannon O'Keefe is the president of Granite Group INC, an international consulting firm that specializes in security and training. Though this firm is based in a small town in Montana, do not let that fool you. Just like the mountains he grew up in, Shannon will surprise you, he has traveled the world advising, consulting, or providing security in some of the world's most dangerous and austere environments. After leaving the U.S.M.C. as a Sgt in 1999, the self-starting entrepreneur used his skills learned during  two deployments (MEU), and in schools such as Basic reconnaissance Course (MTT) and SERE to push himself to begin and run multiple businesses. Although carpentry and construction were a passion and the focus of his early businesses, Shannon remained at the fore front in precision reloading, long-range, and extreme distance shooting. He was fortunate to learn from some of the top minds in both manufacturing of precision weapons and bench rest competitions. In 2006 he discovered he could return to serving the Nation while remaining in Montana and rejoined the military with the Montana Army National Guard 2006-2015 and again completed many elite schools such as Ranger School, Sniper School and Airborne. In the National Guard he excelled, especially in the reconnaissance, surveillance, and target acquisition fields serving not only as a Sniper Instructor for many years, Sniper Section Leader during a combat deployment to AFG, and running the state sniper section in MT as well. Upon leaving the military, Shannon completed 17 combat deployments across the globe as a Private Military Contractor: working for the US Govt as an advisor, security, and trainer for both US and Local National Forces which kept him at the forefront of tactics, techniques, and procedures currently utilized in security around the world. Now that he is stateside, Shannon has taken a job in executive protection for a high net worth family and continues consulting for both the US Military and different law enforcement agencies throughout the US. Teaching members of the Military, LE Combat Marksmanship (pistol, rifle, and extended range weapons), Combat Tracking, surveillance or counter surveillance. Also teaches vehicle operating procedures (VehAO's), Close Quarters Battle (C.Q.B.), and US/foreign weapons/machine guns for MIL/LE. Whether it's weapons and tactics, curriculum, or weapons based equipment, Shannon has stayed at the forefront of, and has evolved with progress to remain proficient in his craft.
